White Mini-Van With 2 Passengers Drives into Gulf of Mexico at Venice Fl South Jetty, Local Reporter Carlos Munoz Takes Photos as Van Sinks. According to SNN local news Herald Tribune reporter Carlos Munoz  stood on shore taking photos as a white mini-van with a least two passengers sank into the murky waters of the south jetty in Venice Fl.

The City of Venice said seven rescuers are in the water between the North and South jetties in Venice attempting to rescue two passengers inside a white van that went into the water. Emergency personnel with the Venice Police and Fire Department, Sarasota County Sheriff’s office, and beach lifeguards attempted to locate the van which has been found, according to witness reports. The car, a white mini-van, went into the Intracoastal Waterway at approximately 4:15 p.m. near the bathrooms at South Jetty Park. Update: The two victims have been identified as local father and daughter Carol Hayden (64) and Eugene Hayden (88).
