Dyer County Sheriff Box Has Hired Former El Paso Texas ATF Resident Agent in Charge Glen W. Cook With 24 Years of Experience to Solve the Karen Swift Murder Case.

Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box appears to be shaking things up a little with the hiring of Glen W. Cook a former ATF Agent to investigate the unsolved murder case of Karen Swift. ATF is the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, I don’t suppose that Sheriff Box hired high profile former ATF Resident Agent in Charge Glen W. Cook with 24 years of experience based in El Paso Texas to investigate Alcohol and Tobacco in the unsolved murder case of Karen Swift in Dyersburg TN, interesting the firearms angle. According to Glen Cook’s Linkedin Page he was the Resident Agent in Charge at Bureau of Alcohol,Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives location El Paso Texas. According to a NY Times article, El-Paso Texas was the epicenter of gun running into Mexico for the drug cartels and the site of the infamous Fast and Furious incident, the NY Times article about El Paso Texas covered the years 2009 to 2011, see http://nypost.com/2013/12/01/book-excerpt-how-america-gave-guns-to-mexican-drug-cartels/
MINUTES FOR COMMITTEE POST … – State of Tennessee
WAIVER OF BASIC TRAINING GLEN W. COOK– 1110-02-.03 + 1110-9-.02 The following requests for Waiver/Substitution of Basic Training have been reviewed and appear to meet POST requirements:

Back in February 2016 Local 24 News WATN-TV spoke with Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box in Dyersburg TN. He said a number of people have recently come forward with new information and that the case is still active. In fact, he says a detective, Glen Cook, works the case every day and that the case is not considered cold, even though it is going on 5 years since Karen Swift was kidnapped and murdered after she went to the Dyersburg Country Club-The Farms Halloween party on Saturday October 29th, 2011. The next day, Sunday, she went ‘missing’ and ends up dead, her body found above ground in the weeds, near Bledsoe Cemetery on December 10th, 2011, she was not buried. Dyersburg is a city and the county seat of Dyer County, Tennessee, Dyersburg has a population of about 17,000 people, real small town atmosphere very “Sheriff Andy Taylor Mayberry-Esque”.
“Tracking Money From David Swift’s Paper Route and Questioning His Grade School Girl Friends”? I know it sounds absurd and ridiculous even for the small town atmosphere of Dyersburg TN, a very ‘Sheriff Andy Taylor Mayberry-Esque’ kinda place, but that is pretty close to what Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box has his new investigator doing in the unsolved Karen Swift murder case. “Over the past four years and nine months the team of investigators at the DCSO have worked the Karen Swift case, going over evidence, rechecking evidence, and following up on leads. Sheriff Box also hired a new investigator in Deputy Chief Glen Cook, who has mainly been assigned to support the other investigators in solving the Karen Swift case. The investigating team has been able to exclude all known persons of interest except one, David Swift, according to Sheriff Box”. If Sheriff Box had put as much effort into investigating and interviewing the people who attended the Dyersburg Country Club Halloween party on Saturday October 29th, 2011 where Karen Swift was last seen and if he had looked further into the break-in and theft of the cameras and surveillance tapes from the Country Club a few days after Karen Swift went ‘missing’ instead of trying to nail David Swift for the murder, he may just have caught the killer or killers by now!
