NY POST…A new ISIS propaganda video makes threats against the New York City — and shows Manhattan streetscapes that include Times Square and Herald Square, The Post has learned. The slick production includes storefront shots of TGI Fridays in Times Square (SAME PLACE BOSTON BOMBER TARGETED) and the Gap in Herald Square — along with footage of yellow taxi cabs driving past. The images of New York City are spliced between disturbing clips of suicide bombers preparing for attacks
NEW ISIS VIDEO…A fighter also holds a grenade, pulling the trigger as the camera cuts to black. French President Francois Hollande then appears on screen, giving an address just after the Paris attacks. At the end of his speech, he says, “it’s horrible.” Then words flash on the screen, saying, “And what’s coming next will be far worse and far bitter.” The video also includes statements from several jihadis, praising “soldiers of the caliphate in France” for their “blessed operation.” “We are aware of the newly-released ISIS video that mentions Times Square,” NYPD spokesman J. Peter Donald said in a statement. “While some of the video footage is not new, the video reaffirms the message that New York City remains a top terrorist target.
ISIS Terrorists Could Dress Up as Times Square Costumed Characters to Get Close to Targets with Hidden Suicide Bomb Vests and Automatic Weapons. Just put 3 or 4 of these guys in a van, pull off on one of the side streets off of Broadway, like around 47th Street and 7th Ave in the heart of Times Square, they get out and mingle with the crowds and no one would suspect who or what they were up to.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, a New York City tradition since 1924, is just one week away. It will follow both this week’s terror threat targeting the tourist-populated Times Square area, purportedly issued by the Islamic State militant group, and last week’s deadly terror attacks in Paris, for which ISIS also claimed responsibility. While it’s unclear how or if they will deter groups of people from going to next week’s festivities — which attracts about 3 million people a year — the New York Police Department, which has planned an increased security presence of an additional 1,300 cops on the streets along the parade route.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade travels through Columbus Circle, near Times Square and through Herald Square before ending up at Macy’s store located in Herald Square at 151 W 34th St, New York, NY 10001.
