Russian news agency RIA Novosti has reported that France and the UK has decided to suspend all direct flights from France and the UK to Sharm el-Sheikh Airport. Britain could impose further travel restrictions on flights to and from destinations outside Egypt after the Foreign Secretary said there is a “significant possibility” that ISIS bombed the Russian plane. Sharm El Sheikh International Airport in Sharm el-Sheikh Egypt where Russian Kogalymavia Flight 9268 originated has security problems. UK businesswoman Sylvia Tidy-Harris, a regular vistor to Sharm el-Sheikh Airport claimed terrorists would have no problems smuggling a bomb through the airport there as security was so poor, “Security is a joke”.
The British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advise against all but essential travel to the Governorate of South Sinai, with the exception of the area within the Sharm el Sheikh perimeter barrier, which includes the Sharm El Sheikh International Airport and the areas of Sharm el Maya, Hadaba, Naama Bay, Sharks Bay and Nabq. Terrorists continue to plan and conduct attacks in Egypt. Comment from a recent visitor to Sharm Airport: “The chaos of the duty free is outrageous we were told we could not take our hand luggage into the shop and we had to leave it outside, where anyone could take it, or even worse put something illegal inside it, Sharm is the only airport in the world where you are told to leave your luggage unattended.”
Sharm El Sheikh International Airport is nothing but a 3rd world toilet bowl, please bring your own toilet paper, Passenger Comments: “Just back from Sharm Airport, like the other people commenting I also found the ladies toilets to be vile! Worst toilets ever seen at an airport, blocked, flushes not working, no hand towels, strong smell of urine and wet walls and cubicles. A grumpy woman outside the toilets shouting at people to wait until she said you could go in!“Another comment, “You could not breathe due to the smell of urine. There was soil on the toilet doors and splashed around most of the full, blocked toilets. The worst toilets I have ever seen. I had to get changed for my flight and that was bad enough but would not use them and waited until we were on the plane. A toilet attendant was sitting outside the ladies toilets (presumably because she wouldn’t have been able to sit inside due to the smell), I never saw her in them or anyone cleaning away the mess.”

UPDATE: Russian jet ‘blown up by bomb’. Monday Nov 2nd, 2015 5:37 am EST, UK Telegraph Newspaper, Bomb most likely cause on Russian Flight 9268 Airbus A321, says French aviation expert Michel Polacco, aviation expert on France Info radio, said terrorism was the most likely cause of the crash. “A break-up of the plane mid-flight that results in the type of debris we have seen can only come from a serious blow to the plane’s structure,” and most likely an explosion, said Mr Polacco, a pilot and flight instructor. “It can be due to technical causes, but that is very unlikely and has rarely occurred. That leads us to the terrorist line of inquiry, of a bomb that can have such effects,” he said.
