ISIS Caliphate: A map purportedly showing the areas ISIS plans to have under its control within five years. As well as the Middle East, North Africa, India and large areas of Asia, it also reveals ISIS’ ambition to extend into Europe. Spain, which was Muslim-ruled until the late 15th Century, would form part of the caliphate, as would the Balkan states and eastern Europe, up to and including Austria, and controlling all the oil fields and shutting off the Suez Canal and Straits of Gibraltar. The US has military airfields in many of these areas and re-establishing the Muslim Caliphate in the Middle East would include the destruction of Israel.
ISIS aka ISIL coming to a town near you says leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi aka “Doctor Death”. As well as plans to expand the caliphate throughout the Middle East, North Africa, and large parts of western Asia, the map also marks out an expansion in parts of Europe. Spain, which was ruled by Muslims for 700 years until 1492, is marked out as a territory the caliphate plans to have under its control by 2020. Elsewhere, ISIS plans to take control of the the Balkan states – including Greece, Romania and Bulgaria – extending its territories in eastern Europe as far as Austria, which appears to be based on a pre-First World War borders of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi aka “Doctor Death” is nothing more than a low level thug who taken control of a blood thirsty army of Muslim lunatic fringe zealots. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi aka “Doctor Death” was born in Samarra, north of Baghdad, in 1971 (age 43) with the name Ibrahim Awwad Ibrahim Ali al-Badri al-Samarrai. He obtained a doctoral degree in Islamic studies and history at an Islamist university in Baghdad, perhaps accounting for why several of his aliases include the title “Dr.”. Reports suggest he was a cleric in a mosque in the city around the time of the US-led invasion in 2003. Some believe he was already a militant jihadist during the rule of Saddam Hussein. Others suggest he was radicalised during the four years he was held at Camp Bucca, a US facility in southern Iraq where many al-Qaeda commanders were detained. He emerged as the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq, one of the groups that later became ISIS, in 2010, and rose to prominence during the attempted merger with al-Nusra Front in Syria.
Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi aka “Doctor Death” and his fighters have openly defied the al-Qaeda chief, leading some commentators to believe he now holds higher prestige among many Islamist militants. “The true heir to Osama bin Laden may be ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. In October 2011, the US officially designated Baghdadi as “terrorist” and offered a $10Mil (£5.8m; 7.3Mil Euros) reward for information leading to his capture or death. It notes Baghdadi’s aliases, including Abu Duaa and Dr Ibrahim Awwad Ibrahim Ali al-Badri al-Samarrai.
In 2011 Ibrahim Awwad Ibrahim Ali al-Badri al-Samarrai, (Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi aka “Doctor Death”) instructed Abu Mohammed al-Jawlani (QI.A.317.13) to establish a front for Al-Qaida in Iraq in Syria by developing a local presence and fighting. Al-Nusrah Front for the People of the Levant (QE.A.137.14) was officially announced as being active on 24 January 2012. Ibrahim Awwad Ibrahim Ali al-Badri al-Samarrai issued strategic directives to the overall leader of Al-Nusrah Front for the People of the Levant, Abu Mohammed al-Jawlani, instructing him to begin operations in Syria.
On 9 April 2013, Ibrahim Awwad Ibrahim Ali al-Badri al-Samarrai (Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi aka “Doctor Death”) announced the unification of Al-Qaida in Iraq and Al-Nusrah Front under the title of “Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant” (ISIL aka ISIS). Al-Nusrah Front for the People of the Levant was listed between 30 May 2013 and 13 May 2014 as an alias of Al-Qaida in Iraq. Ibrahim Awwad Ibrahim Ali al-Badri al-Samarrai also affirmed that his organization supported and financed cells of fighters from Al-Nusrah Front for the People of the Levant.
