Through investigation and surveillance, deputies located Jerral Bell, DOB 1/12/89, this morning and arrested him during a felony traffic stop at University Parkway and Shade Avenue in Sarasota. After his release from jail in July, Bell failed to appear in court for his arraignment on charges of Discharging a Firearm in Public and Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon. Bell has been arrested more than 20 times for crimes including Battery, Burglary and multiple drug and weapons charges. Bell was featured on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page for the most recent “Fugitive Friday,” a weekly social media campaign to highlight wanted criminals. He is the second of four suspects featured in August to be apprehended.

On July 5, 2014, at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers monitoring cameras along Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way near Dixie Avenue, observed two suspects known to them, Maurice Carnes and Jerral Bell, standing near the intersection. see!/SarasotaPoliceDepartment
