Inmates Like Rapist Kendrick Morris Should Never Go Free Says Fl Sen. Ronda Storms, R-Valrico

TALLAHASSEE — Kendrick Morris was 16 when he brutally raped and beat a teenager outside a public library near Tampa. Last year, he was sentenced to 65 years in prison (not enough time).
Sen. Ronda Storms, R-Valrico, invoked his case Wednesday before grudgingly voting for SB 212, which would give perpetrators of non-homicidal crimes the opportunity for a resentence or parole after 15 years.
Inmates like Morris should never go free, she (Sen. Ronda Storms, R-Valrico) argued. “Just because we practice forgiveness doesn’t mean you don’t have to suffer the consequences of your own choices,” she said, adding that the rape victim is permanently paralyzed. “This sweet baby that has been shattered … how can I face this sweet baby if her perpetrator walks free?”

TAMPA TRIBUNE…..TAMPA – Kendrick Morris was sentenced to concurrent 65-year prison sentences today for the rapes of two women. Morris was 16 when he savagely beat and raped a high school student as she dropped off books after hours at the Bloomingdale Regional Public Library in April 2008.He was 15 when he broke into the Clair-Mel City day care center in June 2007, robbing an employee and raping her at knife-point. Morris, now 19, was found guilty in separate trials last year.
The sentencing came after the sister of the library victim read a statement, which included personal thoughts on how difficult it has been for the family to endure life following the attack. Spectators in the courtroom wept as the sister, Anna, expressed the suffering the victim lives with each day.
The library rape victim was so viciously beaten she was left blind, and unable to walk, talk or eat on her own. She requires around-the-clock care. She turned 21 in April and was in jeopardy of losing the Medicaid support that allowed her to be treated at home, possibly forcing her into a nursing home.
Kendrick Morris, his photo above, lived in the working-class neighborhood of Clair Mel City, was previously arrested for animal cruelty, records show, and his mother had just got out of jail about an hour before the assault at the library.
Is Tampa black thug rapist Kendrick Morris related to Tampa black thug cop killer Dontae Morris? Kendrick Morris was arrested three times between 2004 and 2005 on charges of cruelty to animals (sadistic serial killer pattern), according to Florida Department of Law Enforcement records.
