BINGHAMTON November 20th, 2011  — A 42-year-old Town of Maine man is facing child pornography charges following an eight month investigation by Binghamton police. George F. Wheeler IV, who lived in the city’s South Side during the investigation, was arrested on four counts each of possessing a sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, felonies, police said Thursday. “It doesn’t make me very safe,” added Edward Moorhead. According to the Broome County Sheriff’s office, there were 426 registered offenders in Broome County in 2009, since then, that number has grown to more than 530 today. “The number can fluctuate any given day, any given month. It has increased right now,” explained Broome County Sheriff’s detective Sgt. Jason Ellis.

Broome County NY Pervert, Richard Pierce Jr, Gets 20 years In Federal Pen On Production Of Child Porn Charges, He Videotaped 10 Year Old Kids in Sex Act.

 

August 18, 2011…Binghamton, NY…. As a result of an investigation conducted by the Southern Tier Cyber Predator Task Force, Richard Pierce, Jr., 47, of Apalachin, New York, was sentenced Wednesday in Federal Court in Binghamton NY. In March 2009, Richard Pierce admitted he videotaped and photographed 2 boys under the age of 12 at his home. They were naked and playing video games.

 

Pierce also says he’s guilty of downloading thousands of child porn photos to his personal computer. An undercover cop in Florida had been communicating with Pierce online and found the pictures using file sharing software. Pierce was sentenced on August 17, 2011 to serve 20 years in Federal prison. He is a father of 5 children – his youngest is 9 years old. He was also a coach for the Southern Tier Hockey Association.
