EXAMINER Saturday July 21st, , 2012: The reports that Aurora movie theater gunman James E. Holmes was a former member of the “Black Bloc” faction of the Occupy movement have caused considerable debate. Yet the most strident denials of this reportage seem to come almost entirely from the political left. More objective sources as well as blogs and web sites on the right seem to assert Holmes was a member of the group.
The “Black Bloc” faction of Occupy has targeted law enforcement in other instances, and three members of the group are facing charges of attempting to kill cops in Chicago. It has become clear the “booby-trapping” of his apartment with trip wires and bombs was intended to kill the most likely next persons to enter that apartment, namely law enforcement. Aurora, Colorado police have state they are angry at knowing they were targeted in this way by the alleged movie theater shooter.
Private Investigator Bill Warren reported on his blog the connection between Holmes and the Occupy movement, and his web site is still reporting that information as a result of his investigation of the issue. As some of the left seem to more stridently deny the connection, it appears more evidence is reported showing that Holmes might well be a member of the Occupy movement or a former member of the group.
James Holmes had firebombs rigged inside his apartment to incinerate cops who tried to enter.
- About 30 ammunition shells and up to 30 other devices in the apartment.
- Three types of explosives were found – jars filled with gasoline, chemicals that would explode when mixed together and more than 30 ‘improvised grenades’
On May 19, the day before thousands marched peacefully in Chicago to protest NATO-led wars, the Illinois State Attorney hit three men ho are members of the Black Bloc with charges of terrorism for allegedly plotting to use “destructive devices”, gas bombs, against targets ranging from Chicago police stations to the home of Mayor Rahm Emanuel, quote “DID YOU EVER SEE A COP ON FIRE, LOL“.
CHICAGO TRIBUNE…Brent Betterly, 24, Jared Chase, 24, and Brian Church, 20, were each charged in 11-count indictments with conspiracy to commit terrorism, possession of explosives and attempted arson after a May 16 raid at the Bridgeport apartment where they were staying. According to the charges, police found four Molotov cocktails inside the apartment that the defendants — who are members of an anarchist group known as Black Bloc — intended to firebomb targets such as police stations, Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s home and President Barack Obama’s downtown campaign headquarters.
TAMPA (FOX 13) VIDEO CLICK HERE- They’re not Al-Qaeda, but they are a type of home-grown terror group. The FBI describes the Black Bloc as individuals intent on using violence to their express their extreme ideological views. The Black Bloc tactics include street fighting, vandalism and rioting. Private investigator Bill Warner, who researches organized violence, says Black Bloc members are self-proclaimed anarchists. He says they use the Occupy Movement as a front, but have their own violent agenda. They dress in black from head to toe, carry a black flag on a 5′ foot metal pole, and create chaos when ever they can.
