April 20th, 2012….U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a Bunnell FL man accused of possessing child pornography of young females as he attempted to cross into Canada on Thursday morning, officials said. Agents acted on a warrant charging Merle Shamblin, 51, with 40 counts of child pornography, Flagler County sheriff’s spokeswoman Debra Johnson said. The truck driver was taken into custody in Alexandria Bay, N.Y., as he tried to cross the border into Canada to deliver the goods he was hauling.
Merle Dean Shamblin, DOB 12/08/1960, he is 6′ 1″ tall and 250 lbs, there is a second mugahot photo below where he appears younger, there must be priors in other States. “Merle Shamblin’s troubles started when he took his computer in to a Palm Coast repair shop on Oct. 1, 2010,” Johnson said. “After he signed the repair contract, Shamblin left but returned about five minutes later and told the store owner he needed to delete some files.” Larry Gross, owner of Net FX Pro Computers, told deputies that Shamblin worked on the computer for a half-hour, Johnson said. He said he saw images of naked young girls, (petite blonde females) during that time and called the Sheriff’s Office after Shamblin left. ”He was charged with 40 counts since some of the images were duplicates,” she said. Florida truck driver, Merle Shamblin HIS PHOTO ABOVE, who has been wanted for possession of sexual exploitation of female minors, has been arrested at the Canadian border near Alexandria Bay. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested 52 year old Merle Shamblin of Bunnell, Florida, last Thursday. Officials said Shamblin was traveling in a commercial truck that was denied entry into Canada and returned to the United States due to Shamblin being wanted. Upon his arrival at the Port of Alexandria Bay, officers verified the validity of the warrant and confirmed extradition to Florida. Shamblin is wanted for 40 separate acts of sexual exploitation of minors in Flagler County, Florida. Shamblin was turned over to the custody of the New York State Police pending extradition. The transportation of vehicles from the South to the North is big business every year as the upscale Northern Snow Birds have their SUV’s and cars shipped back North on auto transporters while they fly to their Northern homes. The SUV’s and cars are picked up by the auto transporter, as seen above, outside the customers Florida home or condo in late March or April and then transported back to Chicago or Detroit or New York City or Canada. The SUV’s and cars are registered and licensed and can easily be taken off the rear of the auto transporter and driven at any time.
During this reign of terror when eleven petite blonde females have just disappeared without a trace, there has been no leads, no clues as to how, where or when these petite blonde females vanished without a trace, are cops taking a hard look at interstate truckers like Merle Dean Shamblin?
It is somewhat curious that six of the missing petite blonde females have gone missing in the months of March and April, two of the months when most of the cars of the vacationing snowbirds are sent back North on auto transporters.
