Profile: Abu Mansoor al-Amriki A militant in a video message released this month has an interesting background. The message supports Shabab, one of two radical Islamic groups fighting for power in war-torn Somalia. 9/04/09 Abu Mansoor al-Amriki has been exposed as Omar Hammami from Daphne Ala., he was a computer science major at the University of South Alabama and appears to have shown up in Mogadishu Somalia in early 2007, this is the same time frame as when the Al-Shabaab website was set up by electronic registration at the Dotster Web hosting company in Vancouver WA USA. The Al-shabaab website www.khataab.net was shut down on Jan. 23rd 2009 by a Federal court order, this was the same day as 11 Somali-Americans were arrested by the Somalia government in southern Somalia.
Mansoor is said to be a high-ranking member of al-Qaeda’s East Africa leadership, and is a trainer for Somali insurgent forces. Although he only appears on video wearing a face mask, it is clear that he is Caucasian. [Middle East Times, 2/28/2008]
FROM Islamic Forum Page;
I quess they are made by Abu Mansour and some other American Mujaheds.But I think if you ask our Nasheed Expert very nicely he might makes it into a MP3 for us. The News Channels will in the comming days investigate this brother, and will hopefully tell more about him. he must be in Somalia for like 2 years. Just the way he holds his weapon. Looks like he is lefthanded.
Abu Mansour has been shown before among the Somali jihadis, but this is the first time that his face has been left uncovered. Approximately half of the video is taken up by Abu Mansour; the majority of the time he speaks in English, but he gives a short talk in passable Arabic as well.
The soundtrack to the video includes jihad anthems and raps in American-accented English, presumably performed by Abu Mansour. At the end of the video, another English-speaking jihadist, who is not identified, calls on foreign youth to join the jihad in Somalia.
