Both Muslims, Samir Khan in Charlotte NC and Yousef al-Khattab in Queens NY, cross post from each other’s Jew-Hate websites and often link to and re-write articles from the al-Qaeda linked website http://international.thabaat.net/ a network of Jihad sites where Samir Khan is listed as a member, see http://www.thabaat.net/.He points to a recent post on Revolution Muslim that had an image of the Chabad Lubavitch headquarters in Crown Heights, Brooklyn with captions pointing out where the main temple is, and noting that it is always full at prayer times; the post also identified a Jewish talis bag as a great place to store “Islamic info.” Warner says this post presented a credible threat and it caused the NYPD to come in full force to protect the synagogue. Khattab is cognizant of his First Amendment rights and seems well versed in how far he can go legally with his message.
Bill Warner has a different take. “The man’s a lunatic. That’s not freedom of speech. Not when you incite terrorism, that’s not freedom of speech,” he says. He says that the FBI and the NYPD have been to Khattab’s house two or three times and that it is only a matter of time that the website will be shut down and that Khattab will be arrested.
Khattab acknowledges that he is under surveillance and that the police have visited him on a few occasions, but Khattab is not afraid of being arrested. He says he loves to pray and exercise, both of which he can continue to do in prison, and that as long as his brain works he will continue to speak his mind. “They better give me a frontal lobotomy to take me out,” he says.
People like Warner can work day and night to put down his website says Khattab, but they won’t be successful, and even if they are, he can always put it up somewhere else.
That’s right Yousef, I will shut you down and I will also continue to shut down your pal Samir Khan, when you pop-up I will be there to knock you back down on your ass, again and again and again. The resolve and the hate that you and Samir Khan have towards Jews and the United States of America pale in comparison to my resolve to shut both of you goons down and eventually put you behind bars.

I”n other posts Khattab tries to persuade people to boycott Starbucks for its alleged relationship with the Israeli army and encourages people to hold leaders of large Jewish organizations accountable for supporting what he terms as a genocide against Palestinians”.

Assalamu Alaykum,
May Allah (swt) grant him unflinching Faith and the rewards of the mission he has undertaken to unveiled the oppressive policies of Judaism.

I personally like Al-Khattab and I get a great sense of Iman from him. Still, I am confused about his message. I know from him personally that he does not support martyrdom operations, does not condone the 9/11 attacks, and does believe in killing innocents under any circumstance. Thus, he has really condemned all the Mujahideen. Yet I see from his site that he glorifies the Mujahideen, which doesn’t make sense if their actions are wrong – these actions would indeed be very severe, nearly enough so to take them outside of Islam.
Yousouf Al-Khattab fails to explain then how a true Jihad is to be conducted. I feel then that his message is incomplete and there are dots that haven’t been connected.
I don’t mean to talk bad about another Muslim. There are many good qualities about his site. However, I am personally very confused about his message and it bothers me. I hope to learn something from this and increase my knowledge on Islam and Jihad. But I do know that condemning the Mujahideen for the actions listed above is wrong – this is an educated opinion authenticated by the studies and fatwa of many Ulema. I do not want to see other Muslims led in the direction of condemning the Mujahideen.

not agreeing with certain tactics doesnt necessarily mean not supporting the mujahideen.

Yes, but he has also strongly implied that those who commit tactics like martyrdom operations and killing innocent by incident may be in a lot of trouble with Allah SWT. I don’t remember his exact words, but he basically said he would not want to be in the shoes of one of these people.

As’salamu alaykum,

Brother Yousef Al-Khattab does not condemn the Mujahideen who carry out martyrdom operations. I don’t know where you got that from. I haven’t come across anything where brother Yousef is condemning such operations. On the contrary, he’s support of em’, alhumdulilah, as seen in the following video where brother Yousef is praising the sister who carried out such an operation:
